A Liturgy of Life
This Liturgy has more actions in it, and could be used as part of a Gathering liturgy. Ensure there are plenty of candles for this liturgy. Place a large central candle in the centre of the gathering. Once lit this candle is always burning throughout.

Please take a candle and sit in a circle.
Let us pray a liturgy of life
We are born, we live, we die, + we will rise to life eternal.
The Guide lights the central candle
This is Christ, Light of the World
He was born, He lived, He died, + Christ rose to life eternal.
Throughout our world many are born every minute of this day
Christ gives them life, Christ gives them light.
Please light your candle from the central candle or from a neighbor.
Many will go hungry
Needlessly. Christ forgive us.
Pause in silence
Many will suffer
Needlessly. Christ forgive us.
Pause in silence
Many will be sick
Needlessly. Christ forgive us.
Pause in silence
Many will die young
Needlessly. Christ forgive us.
Pause in silence
Many will die in war
Needlessly. Christ forgive us.
Pause in silence
Many will die in pain
Needlessly. Christ forgive us.
One by one extinguish your candles starting at one end of the circle.
Pause in silence, remembering those who have died and those who suffer.
